Action Acton aim is to support local businesses and promote the local economy, by organising seminars, networking events and opportunities to learn from and trade with each other.

Action Acton run Acton Market which is located in the heart of Acton Town Centre. It is a vibrant, ethnically diverse community. The market attracts visitors to a thriving and unique Town Centre. By bringing people to Acton's Town Centre, the market also raises the profile of local business.

Action Acton also support the Acton Business Forum, a networking group for local businesses.

The Doughnut Factory

The Doughnut Factory is a competitively priced workspace (desks and separate office) available to creative and media businesses and freelancers under flexible lease arrangements. It has been designed to encourage an exciting creative and commercial mix where people meet, exchange ideas and create new partnerships.

Skills 4 Catering

Free courses skills for the hotel and catering sector.

The project uses the established expertise in the catering COVE at TVU and the strong regional presence of the partnership.

The geographical coverage spreads throughout London and surrounding areas.

The FREE courses for both employed and unemployed range from practical cookery to management and IT.

Unemployed beneficiaries will be assisted in finding work through the partners strong links with employers.

It is open to people who meet all the following criteria. You:
Should have residency and the right to work in the UK
Are working in the hotel and catering sector.
Are working for a small firm of 250 employees or self-employed.
Are unemployed or economically inactive.
Are living or working in Greater London.

The partners of this project are Action Acton, TVU, American College and Heathrow City Partnership.
