Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Officer
Salary: up to £26,000 per annum (£23,000 basic plus up to additional £3,000 outputs bonus)
25 Days holiday + 8 public holidays; 35 hrs per week. Flexi time available
Exciting opportunity for experienced Information, Advice & Guidance Officers in West London with Action Acton.
You will be employed by Action Acton, an expanding regeneration charity in West London, working in partnership with, Job Centre Plus and Employers.
MAIN PURPOSE
The post holder will work across projects that aim to get unemployed individuals into employment. Target group of beneficiaries include BME, refugees, adult and young offenders; individuals with disability, lone parents, long term unemployed, economically inactive individuals.
The role will focus on providing beneficiaries with Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and training to increase their employability skills and help them secure employment and sustainable employment (minimum 26 weeks).
Work will comprise close links with Job Centre Plus.
You will also develop links with Employers and Recruitment Agencies in the private and public sectors to access job vacancies.
You will support beneficiaries in employment once they have secured a job.
Work will require assessing the employability of candidates, and offering advice, guidance and motivational support to a caseload of unemployed individuals.
The post holder will work to deliver agreed targets on numbers of individuals placed into employment
Specific Tasks
* Engage with a case load of long term unemployed clients referred by Job Centre Plus in Ealing.

Organise and conduct 1:1 guidance interview to assess the training and development needs of individual clients.

Deliver employability training sessions (content provided by Action Acton) to small groups of long term unemployed individuals referred by Job Centre Plus
*
Liaise with partner staff from other agencies in Ealing.
*
Contact businesses to identify employment suitable for registered clients.
*
Negotiate work placement opportunities with employers and link appropriate clients to these opportunities. Assist with the preparation of statistics for monthly and quarterly returns to funding bodies, ensuring that suitable verification evidence is held for all outputs claimed.

Assist Action Acton to develop job brokerage and employer engagement initiatives as required.
