YOCC/NEET Project Worker
Salary:up to £28,500 per annum - £23,000 per annum basic salary, plus up to an additional £5,500 based on performance based results
Loction: Acton, London, Full time, 25 days holidays + 8 Public holidays.
YOCC: Young Offenders in Custody and the community Project
NEET: Not in education, employment or training
Role:
·To deliver high quality youth work programmes with NEET/YOT young people in the West London area. To be involved in the planning of youth work provision within the youth projects.
·To achieve targets for helping young offenders and NEET young people into Education, Employment and Training.
·Liaising with other professionals e.g. YOT, Connexions, Schools, Police, Probation, Pupil referral unit and other external agencies working with young people to achieve targets.
·To initiate and build positive relationships with young people while working one to one and in group settings.
·To work co-operatively with the team and under the direction of the Project Manager.
·To undertake administrative work associated within the projects aims and objectives.
·To maintain accurate records as required and contribute to the collation of information and data required by the Project Manager .
·Provide move on options for further education/employment for young people on completion of projects.
·To perform any other duties that correspond to the general duties of the projects run at Action Acton.
·Attend regular staff team meetings and to contribute to these sessions as appropriate.
·To attend regular training sessions as organised within Action Acton and to contribute to these sessions as appropriate.
To participate in supervision within the line management structure
Essential Requirement:
At least 1 years experience of working with NEET Young People or Young Offenders
Previous experience in target focused role where targets and outputs have to be achieved.
Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting young offenders and NEETs.
